In the role of fleet engineer E&I you will make your mark being responsible for availability and reliability of E&I installations of our worldwide fleet of vessels.
You will be vital in maintaining the efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability of our designated fleet. As fleet engineer E&I, you will coordinate E&I projects for repairs and modification. You will be part of the E&I department and located in Papendrecht. As a fleet engineer, you will be working together with fleet management, crew, suppliers, and other specialists. The role encompasses responsibility for the technical performance of E&I installations on the assigned equipment and the execution of the E&I maintenance.
Your responsibilities as fleet engineer E&I
- Ensuring availability and reliability of E&I installations for the designated equipment.
- Bearing the responsibility for the technical performance of the E&I Installations on the designated equipment.
- Executing the E&I Installations maintenance plan for designated equipment.
- Performing emergency repairs on E&I installations on the designated equipment.
- Coaching and training on-the-job of Ship's Electricians for the E&I installations on the designated equipment.
- Supporting fleet management and crew on fault analysis, repairs, and root cause analysis of E&I related incidents.
- Contributing to the development, implementation, and maintenance of maintenance policies and procedures for E&I installations. Long-term maintenance and/or replacement of E&I installations.
- Advising on technical proposals from suppliers.
- Contributing to E&I projects for repairs and modification.
Your qualities and experience
You can move ahead as a fleet engineer E&I if you have:
- Technical and operational knowledge of assigned equipment.
- Higher Professional Education (Bachelor): Electronics / Instrumentation or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the applicable Occupational Health & Safety rules and classification and flag state certificates.
- Basic skills in ICT Office and fleet management systems.
- Experience: 5 - 8 years relevant experience in a maritime environment.
- Good command of English (written and spoken).
- Willingness to travel on a regular basis.

- Your team: As a fleet engineer, you are a member of our corporate Fleet Management Team and you will report to the fleet manager.
