Without contracts, we cannot work with suppliers. With our ‘buy over make’ strategy in mind, contracts are becoming increasingly important as we become more dependent on the performance of our suppliers. Working with suppliers also comes with risk. The Third-party Risk Management (TPRM) Officer is our expert in the team that supports the supplier managers and contract owners in managing the third-party risks. You will work using the TPRM framework that is constantly evolving due to new regulations across the globe like the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and the updated outsourcing guidelines by the Monetary Authority Singapore (MAS), amongst others.
The Supplier Management team you will be part of is situated in the Center of Excellence IT Control & Service Management (CoE). You will work in a team of 7 supplier managers (based in Amsterdam, Chicago, and Singapore) that supports the contract owners across the globe. You also will work closely with the Supply Chain & Outsourcing Office within the ABN AMRO group as a representative of ABN AMRO Clearing Bank (AACB). We support contract owners globally with 330+ contracts and 170 suppliers.
As a Third-Party Risk Officer, you are a subject matter expert (SME) for colleagues on how to manage your third and fourth parties. You will have regular catchups with all the other SMEs in the TPRM framework and provide continuous training towards the organization on capturing the risks and mitigating them using the provided tools. Your activities include:
