We make health happen. As a Genetic Counsellor, your role is to interpret and explain genetic information to customers and to support them and their families to make use of this information. You'll help them to understand the medical facts, including how heredity contributes to their condition, and the options for dealing with the risk of recurrence.
This role delivers pre and post-test genetic counselling appointments to Bupa employees and external customers as part of the My Genomic Healthcare product. Appointments to be delivered using a structured framework to ensure consistency and completeness of information, and ensuring informed consent to proceed is obtained. You will adhere to best practice guidelines, aligning with Bupa clinical governance and all relevant professional codes of conduct. Appointments are delivered remotely via Bupa systems, so the role can be based anywhere in the UK.
