We Are Denim Heads.

We love denim. Live and breathe it. It’s in our DNA. At G-STAR, we see no limit to what denim can do. We believe it can be force of progress and innovation for both people and planet. How? By hiring the most creative, curious and caring minds. People who think beyond fashion. Bringing big ideas to big challenges. Driven by possibility. Those who work hard, make mistakes, but always continue to grow.

Denim is in our DNA, our people are our stitching.

Join the denim heads making raw denim.

NOTE: We are committed to creating an inclusive environment and welcome applications from all qualified candidates, regardless of background, identity, or experience.

Here’s what we do:

The G-STAR Social Media Team is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic intern with a hands-on mentality and love for all things social, who feels at home in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.

As part of the global marketing department, the Social Media Team is responsible for all the global Social Media accounts, from strategy to planning including reporting and community management. During this internship you will support in all areas of the creation of content and all the way to communication with our customers.

Your tasks & responsibilities:

As our new intern, your main tasks will be to support the Social Media team on:

  • Content curation –assist in creating a visually cohesive feed that aligns with the brand's aesthetic and collaborate on engaging social content ideas.
  • Community management – monitor and engage with our audiences on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube and Twitter.
  • Planning and publish – maintaining the Social Media planning and making sure all posts are scheduled accordingly.
  • Track and follow digital and fashion trends on social media and keep the team updated.
  • Reporting – track and report on social media results on a weekly basis (using Sprinklr).

What you bring to the table:

  • You are digital and social minded with high affinity for fashion and denim.
  • You love social media (and you’re active posting content yourself) and you’re curious how things work.
  • Vast knowledge of social media platforms: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Organized and good at planning.
  • Ability to multi-task and execute.
  • Preferably you know how to use Keynote or PowerPoint and Google slides (if not, you will learn!).
  • You have (some) creative content creation skills (good with a camera is a big plus).
  • You have a high interest and willingness to explore AI in this field.
  • Be able to work in a team and individually (you will work from home a few days a week).
  • You are available full-time (40hrs per week) for a period of 6 months starting in March 2025.
  • You are enrolled at a university or college in the Netherlands or EU, during the whole length of the internship. Unfortunately, we cannot provide immigration support for internships at this time.
  • If you are a non-EU student in The Netherlands, you are in possession of a mandatory internship assignment.
  • You are already living in the Netherlands and are in the possession of a BSN, or in a process of getting one.
  • You must be enrolled in a Bachelor/Master in Communication/Marketing.

Finally, do you have a strong personality and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English? We’d love to meet you!

Here’s what we bring to the table:

In addition to a €600 monthly allowance for your internship, working at G-STAR brings so many perks and exciting opportunities, we don’t know where to begin… How about:

  • An awesome and diverse team that collaborates to inspire
  • A work environment that offers room for fun, inspiration and innovation
  • A flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week, promoting work-life balance
  • A clothing budget of €400 to buy the latest G-STAR items!
  • To keep up the greatness we also offer you a healthy, fresh, and delicious lunch in our HQ in Amsterdam.
  • If you don’t have an OV student travel card, we will cover your travel expenses.
  • You will also enjoy two paid days of leave per month!

What will happen next:

During this job application, we will ask you to play a couple of short neuroscientific games. These games provide you with the opportunity to showcase your potential, talents, and personality.

  • As a result, we can ensure equal opportunities for everyone who applies, by evaluating everyone based on objective, scientifically proven insights rather than gut feeling.
  • As we value personal growth and transparency, we will make sure you receive your results on the games as well.
  • When we hopefully find what we are looking for, we will get in touch with you and if it’s a good fit, we’ll plan our first interview.
  • When we’re ready to commit to each other, we’ll finalize the terms we’ve discussed and we’ll explain to you how to order your first pair of jeans from the G-STAR employee store.

Good luck!
