Design Chapter

As Design Chapter, Rabobank’s in-house design department, we serve the entire organization. With more than 100 designers, we are transforming the bank’s design. We are an ambitious team with our own studio in Utrecht, building a creative culture. Our mission:

• Creating a vision for digital customer experience.
• Continuously improving customer journeys that are inclusive and offer unique value to our users.
• Promoting Human Centered Design in Rabobank’s development processes.

About the Internship

The Rabobank design system contains all the building blocks to create digital experiences for our customers. During this six-month internship, you will be tasked with helping us create the next version of the design system, used by all designers and frontend developers at the bank. This could involve researching designer and developer needs, analyzing patterns and component usage, creating and testing various concepts with users. The exact assignment can be tailored to fit your education and/or graduation requirements.

You will have the opportunity to explore many interesting aspects of the bank and discover where your strengths lie. A buddy will help you find your way within the bank and guide you during your internship.

This is you:

• A student in Communication & Multimedia design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Human Computer Interaction, or another relevant field.
• Knows what a design system is and has preferably experience with it.
• Someone who is analytical and can translate complex problems and processes into simple and intuitive solutions.
• Front-end knowledge is a plus, but we do not ask you to code.
