We actively work to create a pleasant work environment where everyone feels respected and has equal opportunities. Your personality, knowledge and skills are the success of our organization.

The internship

As Learning & People Development intern you are a true all-rounder, supporting the Learning & People Development team on topics like leadership development, skill development, onboarding, diversity, equity & inclusion and health & wellbeing initiatives.

As an intern you will work on different projects with different people at once, so you will learn a lot. You play an important role in the communication of our L&D initiatives to our employees. With your creativity you will design small internal activation campaigns to showcase our offer. You will play a vital role in bringing to life our leadership programmes and skills trainings and will be our employees’ main point of contact with regards to L&D. You will be giving new employees the best possible start at HEINEKEN by supporting our onboarding programme. You also support on translating the global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy to head office. And you initiate new Health activities for our employees. Furthermore, you will work on the Performance Management and Climate Survey processes. Overall, you’ll have a great impact on how people perceive the People function and contribute to their employee experience. The internship is based at the HEINEKEN Head Office in the centre of Amsterdam. You should be available per the 1st of February for 5 or 6 months.

During your internship you will get the opportunity to get to know HEINEKEN as a company, also outside your department. We give you the trust and freedom, so you can work like a real entrepreneur. We like to bring the outside world inside and therefore we embrace new, fresh ideas with enthusiasm. Of course, always with the guidance that is right for you.

The department

The Learning & People Development Team consists of a Learning & People Development Lead, a People Data Specialist, and 2 Learning & People Development specialists. We work together with the other teams in the People function, like the People Business Partners, People Operations and Talent Acquisition and we collaborate with other Dutch Heineken entities.

At Heineken we work in a hybrid model, wherein your time is split between coming the office and working from home. We’re in the office together at least 1 day a week to connect and inspire. As we’re a small team we will provide you with all the guidance that you need. Every two weeks you will have a 1-on-1 with your team lead to see how you’re doing, and we like to organize gatherings outside of work as well. We’re looking forward to adding you to our team!
