About the Internship Programme

We are excited to offer this 9-week programme within our Accommodations, Marketplace, Central Technology, Fintech, and Trips Business Units based in Amsterdam. These departments are leading the evolution of our business from a single-product company to a multi-product offering, with an outstanding, personalised travel experience at its core.

This programme will provide an excellent foundation for you to develop your skills and contribute to our mission of making it easier for everyone to experience the world, while building and improving great products for both travelers and our accommodation partners. This is a unique opportunity to kickstart your professional career and learn valuable software engineering principles and practices at the world’s number one travel company.

As a Software Engineering Intern, you’ll work closely with our experienced engineers and contribute to web applications from ideation and inception to implementing scalable solutions in production.

As part of the 9-week internship, you will:

  • Receive a project placement in a team that best aligns with your experience and interests.
  • Collaborate closely with our experienced engineers and your internship buddy.
  • Contribute to web applications from concept, inception, and validation to a scalable solution.
  • Present your work to leadership at the end of the internship.

Bring your sense of adventure and the following:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with a graduation date in 2026.
  • Commitment, organization, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid communication skills, with the ability to listen actively and ask relevant questions to enhance your understanding.
  • Understanding of JavaScript, as we predominantly use React and TypeScript on our frontend.
  • A great teammate with the ability to work effectively with others.
  • A willingness to reflect on feedback, incorporate it into learning action plans, and share your knowledge with colleagues and fellow interns.
  • An advocate for our values.
