Engineering Lead

As an Engineering Lead, your main goal is to build and cultivate high-performing engineering teams that embrace a growth mindset. You will lead two distinct teams: one focused on BI (Business Intelligence) and data solutions, and the other dedicated to web development.

Your impact

• Manage and empower two teams of 6-8 engineers, fostering a collaborative environment where agile practices drive continuous improvement and high-quality delivery of customer value.
• Provide 1-on-1 coaching through Learning Action Plans and arrange formal training when needed, helping engineers advance their careers and technical skills.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (both leading and lagging) to ensure continuous improvement in product quality and team performance.
• Partner with the Tech Leadership Team to advise on best practices, strategic initiatives, and technical solutions that align with company goals.
• Cultivate an inclusive and inspiring team culture aligned with Sunweb’s core values of “I see you,” “We create together,” and “I grow by courage.”
• Participate in the delivery process, contributing directly to the development of software solutions as part of one of the agile teams.

What skills will bring you to the top?

• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, with experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
• Hands-on experience or strong affinity with building BI and data solutions, preferably with Power BI, Microsoft Azure, Python.
• Deep understanding of agile methodologies and modern software delivery practices.
• Ability to understand complex technical issues and explain them to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Experience working in international settings and collaborating with professionals from various cultural backgrounds.
