About Us

The Marketing department is based in Gorinchem, the Netherlands, and is established for the entire Damen Shipyards Group and all its divisions and endorsed brands. It's an exciting time to join our Marketing team. New digital capabilities are expanding the possibilities of marketing campaigns in our B2B industry. As an intern for the Event Management team, you can play a role in expanding Damen as a brand within our industry and beyond.

The Role

You will assist the Event Managers in organizing events in the dynamic world of shipbuilding. During the internship, you will be planning, organizing, managing, and coordinating all types of events, such as international conferences and exhibitions. You will make sure Damen’s brand identity is well presented during every event. We are looking for a student that is able to take on this project from February 2025 onwards!

Key Accountabilities

For all these different types of events, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, managing, and coordinating them. Through researching new event and exhibition possibilities, you will work on the event strategy of Damen. You can apply these findings by updating the design for event pages as well, providing a very practical outcome based on the results you achieve! Supervisory and support will be given by the event managers, with whom you will be working closely. Administrative tasks can be delegated to you, as well as supporting other ongoing activities at the Marketing Communications department.

Skills & Experience

At least several skills/experiences from the following list are required to be considered:

• You are a Bachelor student, enrolled in an event management or communication study.
• You are social, representative, and creative.
• Flexible and hands-on mentality!
• Expert in planning and organizing.
• You are full-time available, at our Gorinchem location.
