As a specification specialist, you will be responsible for specification-related data for consumer products like cheese, yoghurt, meat replacer, milk- and yoghurt drinks, and quark. This role involves close collaboration with the product development team for Europe, Retail & America’s, and other disciplines like regulatory and quality, as well as colleagues in the specification management team.

What We Ask

• HBO/WO (Master) degree, preferably in the area of Food Safety/Quality/Technology, Quality Assurance, or Nutrition & Health
• 1 - 3 years of relevant working experience in a food environment; knowledge of our product portfolio is advantageous
• Strong quality awareness but open-minded and willing to find solutions
• Accurate, analytical, structured in way of working, independent worker and team player
• Customer Focused and able to act with speed and decisiveness to achieve the best result
• Experience in a (SAP) PLM tool and Power BI is a benefit, along with knowledge of Excel and SharePoint
• Excellent communication skills, preferably in Dutch and English

Vacancy Description

Having specifications that are complete, accurate, and up-to-date is crucial to our brands and company. As a specification officer, you are responsible for the creation and maintenance of product-related specifications for the Europe, Retail & America’s portfolio. This portfolio consists of products for consumers in many product categories like cheese, yoghurt, meat replacer, milk- and yoghurt drinks, and quark.

You will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of relevant specification types like raw material and finished product specifications, including the relevant label information. The specification data is maintained in a PLM tool, for which you will also become a go-to person for support.

You will collaborate with product developers, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and supply chain colleagues, mainly in the Netherlands but also in other countries in Europe. For questions related to specifications, you will be a point of contact for the internal customers and stakeholders for your part of the product portfolio. Relevant skills for this role include being a team player, pro-active, accurate, and looking for efficient solutions when needed.

The specification team consists of six persons and is part of the R&D team for Europe, Retail & America’s, which includes about 30 people based in the Innovation Centre in Wageningen. In the Innovation Centre, we work together with colleagues from over 30 nationalities in an inspiring environment where consumers, customers, and employees from all over the world can experience our tasty products.
