We are the only provider of complex warships and their combat management systems to the UK Royal Navy's surface fleet. Do you have what it takes to join our Naval Ships team?

Why BAE Systems?

You’ll be part of an inclusive culture that values diversity, rewards integrity and merit, and where you’ll be empowered to fulfill your potential. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds, especially those from parts of the community who are underrepresented in our industry, including women, ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ individuals.

What You Will Be Doing

As an Undergraduate Integration Engineer, you will be involved in implementing and facilitating the through-life Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, policy, and supporting toolsets.

  • Assist the deployment and ‘policing’ of the PLM processes & controls in each lifecycle phase and enable measurement of the PLM system.
  • Contribute to the successful business-wide implementation and management of PLM.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define the qualification obligations for the assurance hold points during build, test, and commissioning.
  • Working under technical supervision, undertake functional design and/or provide advice and qualification for the scope of responsibility and provide evidence for acceptance and fitness for purpose.
  • Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders as required, ensuring that their requirements are adequately supported and that their needs are fully considered and incorporated where appropriate and agreed.
  • Contribute to the identification and closure of issues emerging from all product lifecycle stages and manage the resulting change embodiment activities.
  • Provide realistic programme status, identify problem areas, and implement agreed recovery plans.

Skills

As a minimum requirement, you’ll need to be on track to obtain a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any STEM subject. To be considered for this role, you must be returning to university to complete your degree.

These initiatives aim to help employees plan their careers effectively and provide opportunities for accelerated advancement for those who demonstrate aspiration, ability, and performance.

Benefits

You’ll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance, and a company-contributed Share Incentive Plan. You’ll also have access to additional benefits such as flexible working, an employee assistance program, Cycle2work, and employee discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
