Graduate Air Airframe Engineer

What You Will Be Doing

The Airframe Engineering Capability enables Graduate engineers to apply Airframe engineering principles to design, develop, and maintain fast jets and unmanned air systems. These principles span the entire Engineering Life Cycle, from initial concept to disposal.

The role of a Graduate Airframe Engineer will be within one of our four Engineering disciplines: Aerodynamics, Design, Materials, and Structural Engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The Aerodynamics discipline develops aerodynamic solutions to meet customer needs, utilizing Ground and Flight Tests along with High Performance Computer modeling.
  • The Design Engineering Discipline produces integrated airframe design definitions and datasets, enabling product manufacture, support, qualification, and certification.
  • The Materials Engineering Discipline offers technical support for materials and processes, ensuring solutions across design and manufacturing meet standards and safety.
  • The Structures Engineering discipline defines initial airframe structure and ensures ongoing structural integrity, using analysis techniques like Finite Element Analysis, Fatigue, and Damage Tolerance analysis.

Skills

Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, an Aerospace-related degree, or any STEM subject with at least a 2:2 predicted or obtained.
