Within Systems Engineering, opportunities exist in Flight, Mission, and General Systems disciplines. As a Graduate Engineer, you can use your skills across these domains, specializing or integrating across products and tools. You will participate in varied phases of a product lifecycle, leading systems integration, testing, qualification, and acceptance.
Aside from technical projects, you'll account for schedules, costs, training, life support, safety, and environmental considerations. Under technical guidance, you will deliver Systems Engineering services to Product & Training projects, bids, and improvement initiatives as directed by the Systems Engineering Discipline Lead.
As a minimum requirement, you will need to have obtained or be predicted to obtain a 2:2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, an Aerospace-related degree, or any STEM subject.
Employees are encouraged to explore projects beyond primary responsibilities, gaining diverse experiences with our wide product range and multinational presence. Engage in various projects and initiatives that suit your interests and skills.
Beyond professional development, BAE Systems values community engagement. Participation in community projects, STEM initiatives, and employee resource groups offers valuable learning experiences outside regular roles.
To retain talent, we offer sponsorship, career development support, and high-potential development programs. These initiatives help employees plan careers effectively and offer accelerated development opportunities for individuals showing aspiration, ability, and performance.
Benefits include a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave, a Share Incentive Plan, flexible working, an employee assistance programme, Cycle2work, and employee discounts. You may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
Upon starting employment, you will receive a one-off £2,000 Welcome Payment to support relocation, housing, or transport needs, easing your transition and career start at BAE Systems.
We strive for inclusive recruitment processes. If a disability or health condition affects your assessment performance, discuss reasonable adjustments with your recruiter.
Committed to a better future, we aim for net-zero emissions by 2030, developing on-site renewable electricity, and setting ambitious targets for water consumption and waste reduction.
