What You Will Be Doing

As an IM&T Cyber Graduate, your role will be to study and develop skills, knowledge, and experience across the spectrum of the Cyber Security discipline. The role broadly covers the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Communicate security risks and issues to business managers and others and apply and maintain specific security controls as required by organisational policy and local risk assessments.
  • Investigate minor security breaches in accordance with established procedures. Assist users in defining their access rights and privileges. Perform non-standard security administration tasks and resolve security administration issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to meet their requirements, including one-to-one liaison, interacting effectively and confidently with Business Customers, IT Management, and Vendors.
  • Provide advice and guidance to business stakeholders on security best practices and application of Security policies and processes to ensure compliance and/or risk management facilitating the delivery of business objectives.
  • Support and implement Information Security controls to protect business information and systems through the development and application of policies, processes, and support activities in line with the Security strategy and program of work.
  • Provide advice and guidance on the application of security grading as appropriate to individual programs and/or functions.
  • Deliver communications on the security aspects of projects to programs, partners, and suppliers, and continuous improvement to embed an effective security culture.

Skills and Qualifications

As a minimum requirement, you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM or Business, Finance, Legal, or Project Management related subjects.
