Hardware Engineer

As a Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and drawing the electrical installations of customer-specific and (modular) complex machines. This includes hardware that controls robots, vision systems, and welding equipment. You translate the sales document and customer specifications into the required electrical designs. You are the expert in the field of electrical engineering and provide the best solutions. You advise the project leader and work closely with other colleagues from Mechanical Engineering and PLC Control Engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Specifying materials, components, and wiring plans for procurement purposes.
• Providing the required schematics and project documentation for production.
• Responsible for the engineering of pneumatic systems and cooling systems.
• Monitoring and coordinating the progress of projects.
• Functioning as a person of contact in case of deviations and suggesting improvements.

What do we expect?

• A large amount of enthusiasm, together with a passion for Hardware Engineering.
• An MBO or HBO education in the field of Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or related.
• Knowledge of EPLAN is an advantage.
• Preferably knowledge of industrial communication standards, control systems, and safety standards.
• Command of the Dutch and English language. German is an asset.

8:00After a cup of coffee and discussing the weekend, you get back to work. You have the freedom to execute your work and will start with your own planning. You will discuss the priorities for this week with your colleagues or with the team leader.10:00You are involved during the assembly phase and you will answer any project questions or resolve issues.13:00You have a project startup with the team. You check if all requirements are complied with the project specifications and proceed with the translation to the hardware design.15:00Your colleagues are getting stuck in a project and ask for your expertise. You naturally act as an advisor and are already looking forward to fixing this challenge together.16:45Time flies. You are going to finalize the day and lock your laptop. With a satisfied feeling, you go back home.
