Your department

International Mobility within Vanderlande is a CoE (Center of Expertise) arranging all facets of incoming and departing Expats in the Global Vanderlande concern. Vanderlande Industries has over 9000 employees globally and International Mobility supports with advice on compliance, immigration, taxation, social security and relocation of Local hires, Short term assignments, Long term assignments and business travelers. Since Vanderlande is a project organization, there is a lot of movement. International Mobility supports several stakeholders such as project managers, employees and works closely with external vendors.

Your responsibilities

Under supervision, student will perform tasks like:

  • Administrative support. Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing summary of compliance packages, organizing documents and communication with HR, scheduling meetings and maintaining general mailbox.
  • Data entry and analysis: inputting data into databases and spreadsheets as well as analyzing data related to employee mobility, such as tracking assignment durations, destinations and overviews.
  • Research: conducting research on immigration laws, visa requirements, posted workers regulations relevant to international assignments. Pulling periodical reports from our vendors portals.
  • Communication and coordination: Basic communication with employees and international mobility stakeholders, have a brief look at our travel team department, business travel tooling and cultural aspects (India, Japan, USA and so on).
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Supporting with projects on updating policies and procedures related to international assignments.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensuring that all necessary documentation, such as permits, visas, tax forms are completed and stored correctly.

These tasks offer interns valuable exposure to the complexities of managing international mobility programs and provide opportunities to develop skills in areas such as communication, organization, research and cross cultural competencies.
