Assignment
Vanderlande is currently experiencing issues related to dust created within the operation of Tubtrax baggage handling equipment at our airport customers.
The dust is created in several parts of the system and sticks to the static loaded HDPE carrier. Whenever the static carrier is neutralized or undergoes an abrupt impact the accumulated dust falls off of the carrier onto the floor or sticks to system equipment.
This leads to reduced system reliability/performance (e.g. blocked PECs, blocked heat sinks) and has a negative effect on system quality perception of the customer.
We are looking for a recommended solution incl. design on how to mitigate this issue.
Department
The assignment is for the Technology department (also known as Research and Development).
