The Role

As the FEC Manager at Nido, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our buildings meet Nido’s high brand Health & Safety standards. You will oversee the delivery of Environmental, Health & Safety statutory compliance and implement Nido’s internal quality management process, NEST. Your responsibilities will include:

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Environment, Health, and Safety:
    • Lead and implement EHS policies to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
    • Promote a robust EHS culture through policies, procedures, and training.
    • Conduct thorough investigations of health and safety incidents.
  2. Procurement and Contract Management:
    • Manage the procurement of service contracts for maintenance and development.
    • Collaborate with development managers on new projects to ensure efficient long-term maintenance.
    • Support cost-effective building systems and installations.
  3. Quality and Compliance:
    • Implement and maintain Nido’s NEST quality management process.
    • Ensure safety and well-being standards through audits and inspections.
    • Develop performance indicators to manage and improve safety.
  4. Sustainability Initiatives:
    • Work with the marketing team to develop and report on sustainability initiatives.
    • Implement green initiatives to reduce Nido’s carbon footprint.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • NEBOSH or equivalent certification.
  • Excellent English communication skills; multilingualism (Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian) is a plus.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • 5+ years of experience in procuring and managing service contracts.
  • 3+ years of experience in EHS policy implementation and compliance.
  • Experience in quality management and maintaining high standards.
  • Experience in managing large operational budget.
