Do you thrive on the satisfaction of seeing data flow seamlessly into a data lake, day in and day out, based on the code you've meticulously crafted? If so, this Data Engineer role is exactly what you're looking for!

About Us:

Our client creates data connectors for multiple enterprise customers, enabling data flow from various sources using state-of-the-art technologies and cloud providers like Azure. They are technology-agnostic and embrace all technical implementations. Their common goal is to ensure data is an integral part of the business value chain, used in a production environment where data quality, continuity, and seamless flow are paramount. Monitoring for disruptions is a given.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Connector Development: Create data connectors or processing solutions using Python or other coding languages.
  • Validation Testing: Define validation tests to run in the data pipeline.
  • Monitoring & Alerting: Define monitoring and alerting to ensure visibility when the data flow is interrupted or corrupted.
  • Incident Management: Lead the resolution of incidents to minimize impact on end users.
  • User Interaction: Engage with end users to validate and continuously improve the solutions you build.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with your team to build, deploy, maintain, and optimize the data flow solutions.

You are familiar with the scrum/agile way-of-working and in software practices that enable a professional data flow. Further requirements:

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • You have experience creating data ingestion scripts.
  • Experience with Azure is a pre.
  • You have 2 – 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • You have a good understanding of SQL and Python.
  • You are a team player and you have good communication skills.
  • Ideally, you have worked with data platforms and data lakes within an enterprise environment.
