Radbroke
As a Barclays Product Owner, you will get an exciting opportunity to be a key member of the Insurance Packs Product Management team. In this role, you will have the responsibility for the end to end Packs product life cycle and customer journeys, product governance & control and the customer experience.
Barclays is one of the world's largest and most respected financial institutions, established in 1690, with a legacy of success, quality, and innovation. We offer careers that provide endless opportunity – helping millions of individuals and businesses thrive and creating financial and digital solutions that the world now takes for granted.
This role will be based from Radbroke. We will confirm your place of work at the point of offer, ensuring that this is considered in line with our future ways of working and overall location strategy. The hiring manager for the role will discuss the appropriate defined time in office for the role with you as part of the application process.
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please discuss the working pattern requirements for the role you are applying for with the hiring manager. Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.
What will you be doing?
Embracing the hybrid working model to build solid relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Being risk and control focused, identifying opportunities to deliver better outcomes for our customers and colleagues
Working with a team of Designers, Architects, Lead Engineers and Business Analysts focused on Business Banking products and services
Ensuring that the highest priority and highest impact design work is completed to an exceptionally high standard
Influencing decision-makers using data, evaluative judgement and comprehensive understanding of the products and services within the team’s remit
Ensuring a seamless purchase, claims and cancellations experience
Supporting regulatory and legal requirements needed to maintain product/service integrity and manage risk
Creating reliable and sustainable solutions for mitigating risk and resolving audit findings
What we’re looking for:
An analytical mindset with the ability to digest and simplify complex information from multiple sources
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to transform problems into solutions
An expert communicator with the ability to explain to and inspire a range of audiences on a wide range of topics
High level of experience in agile ways of working and customer-centric transformation
Skills that will help you in the role:
A background in or an understanding of lean principles and process improvement/optimisation
Experience of relationship building, stakeholder management and great communication skills
Pre-existing understanding of Barclays Business Banking
The ability to write or develop business case/benefit outputs
Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
