As a Barclays Abinitio Developer, you will form part of a team comprising of more than 10, focused on Technical Deliveries using Ab Initio ETL Solution on Hadoop. In this role, you should know business requirement and converting into technical artefacts. You should also contribute in development/enhancement as per the application roadmap. Replicating data from legacy environment (i.e. SAS and Teradata) based systems to the RFT Hadoop Data Lakes and utilising Dev-Ops frameworks for the development activities will be part of your role.

What will you be doing?
Designing, developing, implementing & maintaining the Ab-Initio ETL processes on Hadoop and/or Cloud that are used to support the enterprise data environment
Working closely with Tech BAs to manage data derivation, data mapping and integration in A>I ETL Developments and reviewing & signing-off technical output developers
Working closely with data architects to ensure data models, ETL jobs, testing & data controls align to strategic solutions
Assisting changes, SIT, UAT, OAT, Tech & Business Go-live activities which include inputs to the other teams like Run/Production Support Teams etc
Designing scalable and secure data solutions such as Analytical Ready Datastores (ARD) that will be consumed by business applications such as statistical models or MI reports
Building data connectors and interfaces for our stakeholders to consume the data from data lakes/warehouses
Excellent development experience in Ab-Initio, reconciling data identifying and explaining gaps, and familiarity with full software development lifecycle (SDLC) in Hadoop & Cloud
Knowledge of key Hadoop components mainly HDFS, Zookeeper, YARN, HBASE, Hive, Impala, SparkSQL, and a working knowledge on Teradata, Hive, Impala databases
Experience in Application design, development and implementation of DW solutions using Ab initio
Graph Development using GDE, EME, Data Analysis, psets with performance tuning techniques
Skills that will help you in the role:
Good experience in AbInitio, Data Quality, Metadata Hub
AWS and Basic data modelling knowledge
Working knowledge of Scheduling tools like TWS and deployment on Cloud
Good knowledge in Data warehousing concepts with solid analysis skills
