About your future job

Enhancing the digital way of working from an HR perspective. HRIS is the digital link between HR and our business and helps people to focus on what they do best. This translates in managing workforce data, develop systems & platform enhancements, run people analytics, capture and develop People processes/ways-of-working and focus on the digital employee experience.

Various HR IT systems are used within Thales Netherlands, such as Workday and AFAS. The HRIS Specialist ensures that the design of these HR systems and the interface with the linked systems is in order and that the new and changed functionality is tested and put into use. It is important to pay attention to an optimal user experience, which is also aimed at continuous improvement of our services and efficiency. The HRIS Specialist maintains close contacts with the IT department in the Netherlands and with the HRIS organization of the Thales Group.

The HRIS Specialist is part of the HR Operations team. This team includes activities in the areas of the HR Shared Services, Payroll and HR Information Systems.

Within this team, the HRIS Specialist focuses primarily on:

  • Taking the leading role in (automation) projects and coordinating contacts with users, stakeholders, our external partners, IT and suppliers about wishes, functional changes, priorities and implementation.
  • The functional management of the various HR applications; daily management, but also the further development of new functionalities in the applications.
  • Integrating these improvements into the HR work descriptions and work processes within the department.
  • Supporting the (key) users of the applications and answering support questions from employees throughout the organization.
  • Define the process, procedure and controls for releasing the configuration changes to production and work with HR team members to ensure communication to drive a great Customer experience.
  • Identifying the needs of management and HR colleagues, asking questions and translating the needs into an (automation) solution.
  • Collaborate closely with your Global HRIS team driving People Analytics and Our Digital Experience.
  • Empower our workforce with a modern, user-friendly HR platform, enabling them to access information and manage their careers seamlessly and driving a competitive advantage in attracting top talent

We are looking for a new colleague who:

  • Have at least bachelor’s degree in the field of HR/Business Administration/Automation
  • Willing to provide optimal support to our employees, managers and HR team and to strive for continuous improvement
  • Have strong skills in tools like Workday, AFAS, Power BI and Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Can easily operate at different levels in the organization, also internationally (Thales Group)
  • Has a good command of the English language
  • Preferably experience with automation within the HR domain
