By investigating the applicable contamination mechanisms, lubrication oil properties and understanding the influence of the hydrogen combustion engine behaviour and ambient conditions you will be able to predict the contamination content for various boundary conditions.

During your internship you will:

  • Perform literature study on mixing, dissolving and separating mechanisms for gas- and water in lubrication oil;
  • Develop and setup the calculation model;
  • Identify critical use cases and boundary conditions;
  • Define engine test- and boundary conditions for model verification;
  • Investigate possibilities to influence the contamination content;
  • Document and present findings.

You will work closely with the system responsible for the engine lubrication system. Within the simultaneous engineering team you will be in contact with various experts and development- and test engineers within the DAF organization.
