In this position you are responsible for the implementation of ESG reporting and associated compliance to regulatory requirements (such as CSRD, GRI and EFRAG). This role involves the coordination of environmental, social and governmental initiatives, aligning approaches with relevant stakeholders and implementing processes and systems to measure our performance over time. The Project Manager reports to the Global Head ESG and works closely with the international community of ESG managers and the members of the internal ESG Task Force (amongst other H&S, HR, Compliance, Legal, Sustainability, IT, Controlling, Audit, selected business units, etc.).

Ongoing project preparation

  • Review relevant organisational structures, corporate activities and challenges in the field of ESG reporting;
  • Liaise with sustainability leaders and reporting specialists in the business units and countries;
  • Draft a project plan with concrete measures and milestones for each of the ESG topics and oversee its execution;
  • Develop the appropriate strategies to address the ESG risks and their potential impacts.

Data gathering, reporting & analytics

  • Conduct study on existing data reporting processes, perceived bottlenecks and possible improvements;
  • Together with the IT department show leadership in developing and implementing a proper management system for improving the overall ESG performance of the company, in line with international standards and guidelines;
  • Analyze ESG data and records from all countries to ensure the quality of implementation for the management system.

Execution and communications

  • In cooperation with the Global Head and relevant departments set up internal processes for ESG integration into strategy, risk management, and impact measurement;
  • Effectively communicate on the importance of ESG reporting in all business units.

Do you have what it takes?
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Sustainability, with a strong interest in sustainability within a technical surrounding;
  • Related work experience at multi-BU/multi-country company and 2-5 years’ experience in ESG management;
  • Knowledge of non-financial reporting standards (GRI, TCFD, SASB) and affiliation with sustainability;
  • Excellent project-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver results with limited resources, leveraging stakeholder relationships within the organization;
  • Relevant experience in stakeholder management and change management - aligning mother company, Management Board, business units, relevant functional leads and external auditor;
  • Strong leadership practices – You can effectively communicate the value of sustainability in driving future growth, cost savings, and meeting compliance requirements;
  • Affinity with data analytics, systems and processes;
  • Effective communicator - being able to present complex information with simplicity, using accessible communication all over the company;
  • You are available for 32-40 hours per week;
  • Based in the Netherlands and allowed to work here.
