Leveraging your passion for data in supporting Rabobank’s data driven ambitions. To support all business initiatives with a need for data (structured and unstructured, high volume and/or streaming), Rabobank is implementing a Global Data Platform in the cloud. One of the key characteristics is the vision to create a well-governed data marketplace on enterprise level. This Global Data Platform is built on Azure Cloud and the environments and the teams are growing fast. We strive towards high performing and self-managing DevOps teams, where team members take responsibility and are willing to learn. We are currently looking for a Business Analyst to strengthen the Fides team, one out of the ten Global Data Platform core teams. The team is specialized in Data Governance topics, including data quality, record keeping and governance controls. This squad is part of the Tribe Global Data & Analytics platforms. Within tribe you will work in the centre of the data driven enterprise. The tribe contains 4 areas: Data Governance Global Data Platform Global Analytics Platform User Journey & Onboarding As a Business Analyst for the Fides squad on the Global Data Platform you make a difference. The Fides team provides self-service data governances capabilities, amongst others to enable end-users to comply to the GDPR regulation and initiatives surrounding data quality checks. One example of a capability the team owns is an automated capability for users of the Global Data Platform to ensure data is disposed of at the end of its retention term. As a Business Analyst, you will collaborate with the development team and stakeholders to realize solutions. You are the Business Analyst that aligns with other teams about new functionality. The team depends on you with questions about new and existing functionality especially during refinement and planning sessions. Your talents Open communication, working together, listening, a customer focused mind-set and having a structured way of working are key talents that a business analyst embodies. Next to these talents, in the role of business analyst, you also enjoy doing the following: Understanding the goals and needs of the business as no other. You are able to understand the question behind the question and translate that into (data) requirements. You translate business requirements and issues into IT solutions in line with the business and IT architecture using the data lake platform. You are in the lead for analysis and support the team with ensuring sizable PBI’s are ready on the backlog. Being the (wo)man in the middle between providers and consumers of data and between business and DevOps-teams. You understand the concepts and solutions forming the Global Data Platform. You can connect and communicate with a variety of stakeholders. You are a sparring partner and reference point for business management, development teams, Product Owners and other stakeholders. You challenge and advise the business team and proactively support the development team. You bring people together to get things done. Expertise Good understanding of data management concepts Intermediate functional knowledge of Azure services for data processing and reporting ( like PowerBI) Strong information/data analysis skills Requirements gathering expertise Senior consulting skills Experience working scrum in a DevOps team Experience with stakeholder management Together As a Business Analyst you will be part of the tribe Global Data & Analytics Plaforms.
