That’s why we're looking for a highly motivated and ambitious individual who's ready to roll up their sleeves and make a tangible impact on the climate change challenge we're tackling head-on.As a Compliance and Certification Specialist, you will ensure that our products meet all relevant EU regulations and standards throughout their lifecycle, from design to production. Your contributions will be pivotal in achieving our mission of accelerating the energy transition and delivering sustainable home energy solutions to millions of households by 2030.

What you will do:

  • Regularly identify and monitor relevant EU regulations and their updates that apply to our products.

  • Ensure ongoing awareness of changes in legislation and communicate these updates within the organization.

  • Conduct thorough conformity assessments from product design to production.

  • Develop and implement internal procedures to ensure compliance during the product development lifecycle.

  • Liaise with notified bodies such as TÜV, DEKRA, KIWA, and others to ensure that all relevant regulations are identified and adhered to.

  • Break down technical requirements from EU Regulations and harmonized standards for use by the engineering teams.

  • Manage the process of obtaining certifications and approvals from notified bodies.

  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation to demonstrate product compliance.

  • Ensure technical dossiers are complete, up-to-date, and accessible for market surveillance authorities.

  • Identify and analyze potential risks associated with products.

  • Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.

  • Conduct training sessions for internal teams to ensure awareness and understanding of compliance requirements.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in regulatory compliance within the organization and integrate these practices into Quatt’s procedures.

  • Work in a cross-functional environment, engaging with multiple internal stakeholders with different backgrounds.

  • Support in creating technical documentation when required.


What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in regulatory compliance within a manufacturing or product development environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of EU regulatory requirements and standards. Experience in the HVAC industry is a big plus.

  • Experience working with notified bodies and managing conformity assessments.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A hands-on approach.

Quatt is an ambitious start-up that was founded in 2021 by two brothers. The goal is to accelerate the transition to sustainable heating in the Netherlands and abroad. Our first product is a smart, hybrid heat pump for the Dutch market.
Quatt wants to significantly increase heat pump adoption by improving the overall customer experience, adding smart control software, simplifying the installation job and, last but not least, greatly enhancing the aesthetics.
