About the QA/QC Team

The QA/QC team operates throughout the organization and reports to the Director of the Innovations department. The team holds the critical responsibility of ensuring quality across processes and products. Specifically, the QA segment oversees the implementation and maintenance of the Ampelmann Management System (AMS) to ensure alignment with ISO standards, while the QC segment coordinates and executes activities concerning the inspection of fabricated and assembled Ampelmann products. The team currently consists of one experienced QA/QC Team Lead.

Your role as QA/QC Engineer

In this role, you are responsible for managing, coordinating, and executing Quality Control tasks during the manufacturing process at supplier sites and the internal assembly of Ampelmann systems, ensuring that QC checks are accurately performed in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and other specifications. You’ll be collaborating closely with production, engineers, our suppliers and sub-contractors. Additionally, you are tasked with establishing and maintaining comprehensive QA/QC instructions, procedures, and other company-wide quality processes, ensuring that all activities meet the required quality ISO standards and contribute to the continuous development, improvement and alignment of the Ampelmann Management System. As QA/QC Engineer, you’ll report to the QA/QC Team Lead.

Regular activities

  • Coordination and execution of QC checks across the production process to maintain product integrity and adherence to both Ampelmann's and international quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive QA/QC instructions and procedures, ensuring regular updates to reflect the latest standards.
  • Continuous reviewing, updating, and enhancing the Ampelmann Management System to align with company-wide processes.
  • Ensuring adherence to relevant ISO standards by implementing quality management protocols, conducting regular audits, and addressing any non-conformities.

We ask

  • HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar, plus 2 years of relevant QA/QC experience. Alternatively, MBO level 4, supplemented with training or any additional education and +/- 5 years of experience in the field of QA/QC.
  • Experience with management systems and audits, and/or experience with weld inspection are a plus, not a must.
  • Ability to convince and motivate others, with a tactful and effective approach and attention to detail in structured work environments.
  • Proficiency in English; proficient in Dutch is a plus.

You get

  • A great work environment with innovative and change-willing aspirations.
  • High degree of responsibility and room to have significant impact.
  • Monthly gross salary between € 3.245 and € 4.175, based on experience.
  • Great secondary benefits (e.g., annual bonus, Working from Home policy, non-contributory pension plan, unlimited vacation days and more).
  • Ampelmann Academy for all your personal and professional development needs.
