We are looking for agile and proactive interns to join Hilti’s Internship Programme based in Singapore.

What does the role involve?

This is no ordinary internship. You will be working on real business impact projects to ensure Hilti delivers best in class service and product knowledge to our clients. You will work between our state-of-the-art Learning Centre, our Regional Headquarters and our customers’ sites.
This Hilti Internship Program will give students from all engineering disciplines a strong head start into the 7 key focus trades of Hilti which comprises of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Civil, Interior Furnishing, and Steel & Metal. You will witness projects from the inception of a drawing to the laying of building foundations, and each construction stage. Regardless of the discipline you are currently studying, you will get to see the end-to-end of the Building & Construction trade with both Engineering and Commercial lenses. You will be the opportunity to rotate across various functions (i.e., Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, Engineering) to give you full exposure to how Hilti operates and consults within the construction industry in Singapore, and how we came to be the leading market player. This internship role will involve visits to construction sites and interacting with clients. You will also develop expertise in the suite of Hilti engineering solutions and use it to partner your contractor accounts in improving productivity, safety, and sustainability in their construction, civil, mechanical, electrical, or interior finishing business. On completion of your internship stint, you will present to Hilti Singapore’s Executive Management team on your findings and recommendations.

What you need is:

  • A Bachelor degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering is highly preferred.
  • Strategic thinking with sound analytical skills
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to influence people at all levels.
  • Dynamic personality with strong winning and high-performance team mindset
  • Flexibility to changing environments with the ability to work under pressure.

Why should you apply?

We have an excellent mix of people, which we believe makes for a more vibrant, more innovative, more productive team. So, if you’ve never worked in construction, that’s fine with us. Success at Hilti is down to teamwork and ability, no matter what your background.

What do we offer?

We’ll give you what you need to excel in your role, including ongoing training from the start. Your responsibilities will be great and, with them, we'll give you the freedom and autonomy to do whatever it takes to deliver outstanding results.
Show us what you’re made of and we’ll offer you opportunities to move around the business – to work abroad, experience different job functions and tackle different markets. It’s a great way to find the right match for your ambitions and achieve the exciting career you’re after. On top of these, we have a thorough people review process, unlike any we know of in any other business. We screen everyone in the company in a yearly career performance matching process. It means we can pair talent with opportunities - developing our people in their current roles or challenging them to work in new ways or in new places. It’s how we find the right fit and further our teams personally and professionally.
