Vistra Netherlands has an exciting opportunity as a (Senior) Credit Controller within our Dutch and Luxemburg Finance Teams.

Scope

You will report into the Manager Internal Finance. As a (Senior) Credit Controller, you are responsible within the Finance department for the outstanding items, ensure that customers pay on time, monitor and analyze customer behaviour and take appropriate actions with the aim to minimize Vistra’s financial risk. You will be part of the financial department within Netherlands and Luxemburg and responsible for our internal debt management and collections. You will work closely with the client facing teams to achieve this task and will need to be able to show leadership as well as be a pragmatic problem solver. At the same time, you will need to be comfortable with discussing and presenting to management on all aspects of internal credit and collections. At times, you will need to be directly involved in collections activities and help to negotiate a settlement in connection with larger outstanding amounts.

Vistra’s Finance department is responsible for internal financial matters. You will be working closely with our Finance Directors in the Netherlands and Luxemburg as well as the business teams.

Key responsibilities

As a Senior Credit Controller you will report directly to the Finance Director Netherlands with a dotted line into the Finance Director Luxemburg. You will also cooperate with the other team members of the Finance department as well as business teams in both countries. The following tasks belong to your responsibilities:

• Design, implement and lead collection processes and coordinate with different client/business teams to investigate and resolve client disputes;
• Describe, develop and implement collection procedures for the companies in Netherlands and Luxemburg;
• Drive and manage the reduction of overdue balances;
• Minimizing the company’s financial losses on collections;
• Monitoring and maintaining assigned client accounts in order to reduce past due receivables and maximize cash receipts;
• Regularly reporting on the collection progress and statistics on a weekly and a monthly base
• Handle inquiries and complaints about incoming payments and/or unmatched payments;
• Monitor A/R ageing and maintain overdue % and Days Sales Outstanding at the target levels. Assign receivables to third party collection agency when necessary;
• Keep track of inquiries and complaints from customers concerning outstanding invoices and coordinate with the business to find solutions;
• Monitor and analyse customer behaviour;
• Prepare various credit control related reports and assist in various projects;

Key Requirements

• You have a Bachelor or Master degree in a financial direction (preferably Accounting or Business Administration);
• A minimum of 5 years relevant work-experience in an international organization;
• Knowledge of applicable local rules and regulations in the field of credit collection;
• Knowledge of audit guidelines;
• Excellent communication skills in English, Dutch is an advantage.
