We are looking for knowledgeable and organized FINANCE MANAGER ALGERIA, located In Algiers, Algeria.

The role will provide Algeria market and N&WA Cluster with headquartered in Casablanca with finance ownership and expertise in tax & accounting, controlling, analysis and reporting, operational support.

As Finance Manager for Algeria entity you will be covering the following activities:

ACCOUNTING & TAX (functionally reporting to N&WA Africa Controller)

  • Handle accounting transactions of local entity in accordance with IFRS & local requirements. Review postings made for Algeria market and local entity by Global Business Service Center/KPMG. Ensure completeness of monthly closing tasks.
  • Ensure accurate recording and accounting for assets.
  • Perform financial processes related to the daily running of the office.
  • Handle local tax queries, submission, etc.
  • Manage local bank relationship in coordination with N&WA controller and JTI Treasury.
  • Ensure up-to-date information on local tax regulation / changes.
  • Manage the relationship with local statutory team and tax advisor.

CONTROLS (functionally reporting to N&WA Controller)

  • Ensure Algeria operations are run in line with JTI policies and operating guidelines, as well as local regulation.
  • Ensure close follow up and compliance of trade incentives programs.

PLANNING & REPORTING

ALGERIA PERFORMANCE

  • Review actual performance package prepared by the FP&A team, discuss with the market, follow up on actions identified.
  • Review planning generated by the FP&A team based on the market inputs, discuss with the Country Manager, propose changes as necessary.
  • Prepare or review business scenarios and simulations.

ENTITY

Perform review and planning for the local entity.

CREDIT AND RECEIVABLES (functionally reporting to Country Manager & N&WA Africa Controller)

Monitor the collection status for Algeria customers, liaise with JTI SA Credit team as necessary.

OTHER OPERATIONAL (functionally reporting to Country Manager & N&WA Controller)

  • Ensure follow up of Letter of Credits to ensure continuous shipments in line with the sales plan.
  • Compute materials cost & transfer prices, monitor costs, profitability and analyze variances vs. plan & standards.
  • Ensure monthly M&S budget tracking.
  • Support Algeria market with other projects as necessary.

EDUCATION

University degree in Accounting/Finance or other related field; or Professional qualification such as ACCA is a plus.

Minimum of 3 - 5 years working experience in accounting / finance. Working experience in multinational environment is a plus.

French & English required, Arabic is a plus.

Sound knowledge of accounting standards and reporting principles.

Computer fluency in MS applications and Accounting Software (SAP is a plus).

WORK EXPERIENCE

5+ years of working experience in finance and financial reporting.

SKILLS

  • English and French speaker.
  • Diligent, attentive to detail and numbers oriented.
  • Computer fluency in MS applications and Accounting Software (SAP is a plus).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to learn and grow.
