Credit Controller

Position Summary

Role and Responsibilities

The key role is to ensure we receives payments for goods and records these transactions accordingly. Daily follow-up for outstanding overdue items and having contact with our customers is the biggest part of the job. To ensure that processes run optimally you also have close contact with different stake holders, as our shared service center, supply chain management, sales, claims and service.

Your responsibilities

Your main responsibility as a Credit Controller is to ensure we receive payments for goods and records these transactions accordingly.

Besides that your responsibilities are the following:

• Chase payments of (overdue) invoices by following the company regulations and policies. Bank postings on daily basis. Request payment(s) to customers by telephone, mail, customer visits or dunning letters.
• Solving disputes on daily and/or weekly basis within the guidelines of the company to avoid any overdue balance. This will be done in close interaction with SCM and Claims Department.
• Cashflow forecast: Getting insight of customer payment plan and report to management

Your Team

As a Credit Controller you’ll be part of the Finance team located in Schiphol. You will have three colleagues Benelux and report to the Manager Accounts Receivable.

Skills and Qualifications

Your skills and qualifications

The ideal Credit Controller recognize themselves in the following profile:

• Bachelor degree Economics or Finance
• You are fluent in Dutch, English and French
• knowledge of SAP is a plus
• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable and a wizard in Excel

Preferred qualifications

As a junior credit controller you have the following qualification(s):

• Accuracy and stress resistant
• Strong communication skills
• Analytical skills / ability to read balances and define credit limits
