We are looking for a Quality Specialist with knowlegde of developing onshore and offshore Wind, Solar & Battery projects in early stages as well as assuring the quality in product development for future projects.

You will proactively support the project and procurement management by providing leadership whilst also demonstrating and promoting a responsible attitude towards quality.

As the Quality Specialist your role is instrumental in enhancing quality assurance practices within our development projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement the Business Area Wind Quality Management System. Additionally, you will drive contractor cooperation and evaluation.

With a focus on continuous improvement, you will prioritize targets and influence industry best practices, showcasing your expertise in Quality management. Your tasks and responsibilities encompass effective collaboration and adherence to Vattenfall's values and code of conduct.

The Quality Specialist role will also contribute to ensure that Vattenfall and their contractors comply with quality requirements as per Vattenfall standards and customer and site requirements.

Some of your tasks and responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Give independent and authoritative advice to improve and manage quality assurance throughout projects/product development.
  • Support the Onshore/Offshore Wind, Solar & Batteries (and Hydrogen) project teams on implementation of the BA Wind Q Management System in cooperation with Environment & Sustainability Specialists and Health and Safety Specialists.
  • Support assigned projects and coach assigned project team members to increase Q awareness and support them to fulfil their quality responsibilities.
  • Support project/product managers to drive completion of quality deliverables:
    • Facilitate quality workshops including co-ordination of risks from previous risk assessments into project specific risk registers;
    • Influence and support during pre-work activities, such as reviewing of subcontractor quality management system;
    • Support the Procurement process activities by undertaking contractor tender (PQQ/ITT) selection process activities;
    • Evaluate contractor submissions against Vattenfall’s internal procedures, such as the Employer’s Requirements and Quality Management System;
    • Execute quality audits at potential suppliers.
  • Forecast upcoming workloads to ensure coverage across all assigned projects/tasks.
  • Align digital documents, update internal IT platforms in preparation for handover to Construction Teams.
  • Implement APQP4Wind internally and in external cooperations.

Drive Transformation and Continuious Improvement:

  • Understand the business strategies and support the business to continually improve quality performance.
  • Bring in and influence industry best practice and promote quality interests internally and externally.
  • Continuously evaluate, improve and promote the way of working as defined in the Quality Management System and be a strong advocate for continuous improvement of health and safety within the organisation.

Qualifications

  • University engineering degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of quality management systems
  • Experience in supplier management, including auditing.
  • Ability to prioritize own workload and organize tasks in a time effective manner, excellent problem-solving skills
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office
  • APQP4Wind knowledge as an advantage
