About the Operations Europe & Africa (EA) team

The Operations EA team is part of the Operations Department and currently consists of an Operations Support and three Operations Engineers. With your addition, the team will have a total of four Operations Engineers. The team is led by the Team leader and Operations Area Manager Additionally, the Operations EA team includes a group of Maintenance Technicians tasked with maintaining systems in the region. As a Junior Operations Engineer, you will have a high degree of responsibility from day one, but you will receive the necessary coaching and guidance provided by more experienced Operations Engineers.

Your role as Jr. Operations Engineer

As the Jr. Operations Engineer, you serve as the main contact both internally and externally for projects involving the deployment of an Ampelmann system offshore. You oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial preparation to the closing phase. Your objective is to complete each project on schedule, within the defined scope and budget, ensuring client satisfaction. You achieve this by streamlining the project process, conducting client visits, monitoring operations, and maintaining impeccable project documentation. Additionally, you play a key role in mentoring the operators responsible for operating the offshore systems.

Regular activities

  • Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders on all aspects of your projects.
  • Coordinating (de)mobilisations of systems, attend offshore trials and perform client visits.
  • Doing project administration (budgeting, invoicing, and purchasing).
  • Guiding offshore operators on their professional development.
  • Occasionally getting your hands dirty, e.g. in a coverall on a yard when work on the system in preparation of a project is performed.

We ask

  • Higher Vocational Education/BSc/MSc degree (any Engineering study or e.g. Technical Business Administration) and/or 0-2 years relevant work experience.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Willingness to travel globally (30% of the work is performed on site).
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Analytical skills and a pro-active attitude.
