The company Marel Poultry focuses on the development, production, installation and services of poultry processing equipment. In the strategic R&D program of Marel Poultry, further mechanization and automation of current food processing systems is an important subject, as the state-of-the-art technology is more and more limited due to increased processing speeds, in combination with data processing and logistic challenges.

The assignment

For the Marel Athena breast filleting system we are looking to develop two different concepts for one of the processing modules. Both concepts shall be evaluated and compared to come up with a final advise which concept would be the best.

• Together collect and set up all relevant requirements
• Together or individually work out fundamental concept calculations
• Individually work on engineering on one of the two concepts
• Together compare both designs and advise Marel which one is the best and why
