All about the role

We are looking for a Junior VAT Analyst to join our dynamic team at our Amsterdam HQ. The successful candidate will support VAT compliance, planning and report for Just Eat Takeaway.com whilst working closely with the finance team to ensure VAT accounting tasks are completed accurately and on time.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role

• Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns and related filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in resolving internal VAT issues and support VAT audits.
• Work closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and business units to resolve VAT issues and ensure VAT compliance.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of VAT legislation changes
• Act as a subject matter expert in projects related to VAT.
• Provide support on Workday financial systems, ensuring VAT-related data is correctly captured and reported.

What will you bring to the table?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. At least 2 years of experience in VAT accounting, with specific knowledge of Italy and Poland VAT regulations preferred.
• Experience with Workday financial systems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English. Knowledge of Italian or Polish is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience with ERP systems and Excel.
• VAT accounting and TB reconciliation.
