Process Engineer

Are you an engineer with a background in biotechnology/food industry looking for a new challenge?

As Process Engineer within the Global Technology Team at DSM Food Specialties in Seclin you will be contributing to implement new production processes and ensure technological support to all dsm-firmenich enzyme production sites globally, from early production to packaging. This in an excellent opportunity for someone willing to develop allrounder knowledge in production processes in a role with international exposure.

The Position

• Contribute, alongside R&D, to the implementation of new production processes from pilot scales to industrialization.
• Manage and ensure improvement projects (process and technical aspects) on large scale, as project director
• Ensure the transfer of production processes from one Enzymes Solutions site to another.
• Ensure technological support for production sites (internal and contracted ones out to CMOs).
• Support manufacturing sites on troubleshooting.
• Ensure quality and SHE regulations are being applied by the relevant stakeholders

The Ideal

Our Ideal candidate has:

• Engineer with specialty in biotechnology or pharma-technology (Master or bac+5 minimum).
• Disciplines of expertise are (2 or more): fermentation, downstream processing, purification, drying at industrial scale in biotechnology.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the biotech or food industry.
• Willingness to work on various topics ranging from production to packaging.
• Ability to manage projects from initiating to value creation.
• Consultative approach, as well as strong relationship building skills.
• Fluent in English and French
• Occasional travels
