The Biotech Campus Delft (BCD) is in transition from a manufacturing-oriented multi-user site into an open innovation campus focused on industrial biotechnology, accommodating multiple new startups, scale-ups, SMEs and established companies. This transformation will lead to the further development of new, third-party-owned, multi-, and single-tenant office & laboratory buildings in an inspiring environment.

The Project Manager BCD is part of the BCD-Site Governance Department, the department that represents dsm-firmenich as the owner of the site/BCD and that manages the site/BCD. Key responsibilities of the department include the future development of the Biotech Campus, maintain and improve the current infrastructure, oversee certain shared services and safeguard the operation and governance of the BCD. The position offers ample opportunity to be part of the growth of the BCD and to develop and grow personally and professionally in scope and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage projects for the BCD related to the site’s infrastructure to fulfil current and future site needs;
  • Works closely together with the Manager Site Affairs and Site Director in implementing the overall ambition of the BCD;
  • Represent the BCD to internal and external parties in relation to these projects;
  • Manage the different stakeholders such as site users, contractors, external stakeholders, municipality.

Reward: Based on your experience, we will offer you a base salary of € 87,893 to € 125,562 per year (including holiday allowance and 13th month) and extra benefits, such as 25 holiday days, a bonus, the option to buy more holiday days with a 6% my choice budget and much more.

You Bring 

  • Bachelor/master’s degree in engineering/technology, e.g., mechanical, civil;
  • 3-5 years in project management in a similar area;
  • Excellent project management skills. Knowledge of development of new building- and site infrastructure to supply utilities, roads, and landscaping to the newly developed buildings;
  • Affinity to working in the manufacturing and laboratory environment of a multi-user Campus with high safety standards;
  • Willingness to learn new things, grow and develop;
  • Result-driven, sensitive towards diverse stakeholders (internal and external), good communication skills, and a Team player;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
