Operational Manager

A unique maritime adventure

At Heerema Marine Contractors, we do something new every day. We operate the world’s largest crane vessels and with them we transport, install and remove offshore structures for the offshore energy markets. Our projects range from installing wind turbines, removing retired offshore oil and gas platforms, and installing platforms up to 50,000 metric tons. Your role in the story

As Operational Manager you ensure smooth area entry and project execution as per portfolio. You identify and schedule preparation activities, facilitate and verify processes (from obtaining, processing to close out of all documentation and information required) to enter and exit of assets and personnel into, and out of, the country. Review and approval of project installation procedures, manuals, drawings and planning’s are also part of the job.

You are first point of contact onshore for the assigned asset/vessel for day-to-day business and also in emergency / medical evacuation situationss

Who will you work with?

Your team will consist of Willem, Mark, Ronald and many others. You will work closely with the (Senior) Operational Manager and Project Managers. You report to the General Manager Operations.

This position requires a highly motivated, enthusiastic ‘hands on’, someone that thrives in a dynamic team. A person who can contribute to solutions for our current and future challenges. Furthermore, you have:

• A Bachelor/Master Mechanical, Civil or Maritime Engineering;
• Preference of minimum 1-3 years of experience in the field of Mechanical, Nautical or Civil Engineering;
• Experience in preparing and/or executing construction projects or experience onboard an offshore vessel;
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and spoken;
• The flexibility and willingness to travel to our vessels, yards and suppliers.
