Wat neem je mee?

• A Bachelor’s degree in the field of Mechatronic Engineering, Industrial Automation, Control Engineering or related;
• >3 years of proven work experience as a (PLC) Software Engineer within the industrial automation;
• Experience within industrial automation / Software Engineering and extensive knowledge of various systems and programming languages (C#, CODESYS, Siemens TIA portal);
• Willing to travel and work abroad if necessary.

Within the Material Handling business unit, we are developing a new business unit for AWL, focused on maximum automation and future-oriented logistics solutions!

As a Software Engineer, in our Business Unit Material Handling, you are responsible for the development of software programs for customer specific machines. Think of software that controls robots and vison systems. As a Software Engineer you work closely together with colleagues from different disciplines. At AWL you are part of a enthusiastic mechatronic team. You are able to guide other departments in your procedure and to function as an advisor. Besides developing the code, you also possess a strong coordinating and organizational role.

• Develop software control designs;
• Coding and debugging software;
• Supervising the mechatronic software implementation within the team;
• Advice in planning and monitoring progress;
• Providing input and participate in for long-term (R&D) developments;
• Customer contact in the form of training and guidance regarding the implementation.

8:00It's Monday. After a cup of coffee and discussing the weekend with your colleagues, you get back to work! Because you have the freedom to execute your work, you will start with your own planning, you assess the progress and determine the priorities for this week.10:00You dive back into project X, in which you are already in the final phase of the realization. Time to write the last part of the code and get it reviewed by your colleagues.13:00You have a project startup with the team. You already examined the specifications. You make any uncertainties immediately discussible. You simulate if all requirements are complied with the project specifications and proceed with the translation to the control design.15:00Your colleagues are stuck in a project and ask for your expertise. You are naturally acting as an advisor and are already looking forward to fix this challenge together!16:30Time flies! You are going to finalize the day and lock your laptop. With a satisfied feeling you go back to home.
