If numbers are your forte, this is where you'll thrive! As our Parttime Treasury & Insurance Specialist (24 hours per week), you will join our Finance team and play an important role in supporting the continued international growth of Rituals. As a finance professional, you know this is the department that really makes a difference.

  • CHO Keizersgracht Amsterdam

Share your talents

Working at the intersection of Finance, Real Estate and external partners, you will take care of both our international insurance activities and bank and company guarantees connected to our stores. The two areas go hand in hand: you will review documentation and lease-related requirements, coordinate guarantee requests and work with banks, landlords, insurance brokers and our Real Estate colleagues to find solutions that protect Rituals while enabling the business to move forward. Alongside this, you will coordinate our international insurance program and support the handling of claims, including store and product-related incidents. It is a varied role for someone who enjoys combining detailed operational work with stakeholder communication, sound judgement and problem solving in an international context.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage our international insurance program across areas including property, liability, directors’ liability, transport, accident, construction and travel, and coordinate with local insurance brokers.
  • Coordinate and assess bank and company guarantee requests for our stores, reviewing guarantee wording and relevant lease documentation against agreed requirements.
  • Work closely with Real Estate teams, landlords, banks and local advisers to resolve questions and find practical, compliant solutions in different international markets.
  • Coordinate damage and insurance claims relating to our stores and products, ensuring cases are handled accurately and followed through with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Support governance and compliance activities such as KYC, while helping improve ways of working through tools including AI where relevant.

Bring all of you

You are a structured and thoughtful finance professional who enjoys getting into the details while keeping sight of the stakeholders involved. You may bring experience from banking, treasury and guarantees, or from insurance or Real Estate. You do not need to arrive as an expert in every aspect of the role: experience on one side can provide a strong foundation to learn the other. What matters is that you can understand documents and requirements, identify potential issues and communicate your conclusions clearly. You are comfortable working independently, know when to involve others and bring a collaborative but confident approach when different interests need to be balanced. With a strong onboarding and support from your manager, you will build your knowledge across the full scope of Treasury & Insurance and become increasingly independent in handling requests.

To be successful in this role, you:

  • Have at least 2 years of relevant experience within treasury, banking, bank guarantees, insurance, Real Estate or a closely related area.
  • Have HBO thinking level and are comfortable reviewing financial, contractual and compliance-related documentation.
  • Communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal, and can work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bring strong problem-solving and organisational skills, work accurately and can manage different requests and priorities independently.
  • Are eligible to work without visa sponsorship or relocation support, as we cannot offer sponsorship or relocation for this part-time position.
  • You like to work parttime (24 hours) for a longer period of time. We are not anticipating changing this requirement in the coming years. (You can discuss the days that you work between Mo-Fr with the hiring manager.)

We believe in the value of in-person collaboration and teamwork. Therefore, we work predominantly from the office.
