We are looking for an enthusiastic equine veterinarian with extensive experience in equine reproduction to join our equine reproduction team at Utrecht University on a temporary basis. Our team provides diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of reproductive conditions in mares and stallions. We offer a broad range of assisted reproductive technologies as clinical services, including embryo transfer and ovum pick-up (OPU).

You must be able to work independently and have solid experience with all of the below described clinical activities, including:

  • routine reproductive management of donor and recipient mares;
  • monitoring and breeding management of mares inseminated with frozen semen;

A postgraduate qualification in equine reproduction, such as a diploma from the European College of Animal Reproduction (ECAR) or the American College of Theriogenologists (ACT), is an advantage but is not essential. Your veterinary degree must be recognized by EU (European Union)-recognized institution.

The University Equine Clinic is committed to providing high-quality, efficient care and excellent service to our clients. You share these values, enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team and have strong communication skills.
