Senior Energy Consultant

As a Senior Energy Consultant at CFP Green Buildings, you will help make buildings more sustainable, energy-efficient, net zero, or even circular. What will you be doing?

As part of CFP’s Energy Team, you will work on sustainability projects for a wide range of clients, from offices and schools to healthcare facilities and government organisations. Together with experienced colleagues, you will help clients make their buildings more energy-efficient, healthier, and more sustainable.

You will carry out building inspections and analyses, identify energy-saving opportunities, and contribute to energy labels and sustainability certifications. In addition, you will be involved in energy data analysis, monitoring, and energy management.

Depending on your level of experience, you will take on increasing responsibility within projects:

• As a Senior Energy Consultant, you will lead complex projects, coach colleagues, and actively contribute to the development of the team and organisation.
• As a Medior Energy Consultant, you will independently manage projects or project components and occasionally support junior colleagues.
• As a Junior Energy Consultant, you will grow into the role step by step under the guidance of experienced team members.

Your key responsibilities

• Advising clients on technical solutions relating to sustainable energy, energy management, building services, and building-related challenges;
• Analysing energy performance and supporting energy management activities;
• Contributing to energy-saving and sustainability projects;
• Conducting site visits and collecting technical information and supporting evidence;
• Preparing energy audits, carbon analyses, and sustainability reports;
• Contributing to knowledge sharing and innovation through workshops, tools, and methodologies.

What are we looking for?

• Relevant work experience in energy engineering and/or building services engineering;
• An educational background in energy engineering, building services engineering, construction, or a related field;
• A passion for sustainability, energy, technology, and digital tools;
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
• Affinity with the sustainability and energy performance of buildings and real estate;
• A proactive, eager-to-learn, and entrepreneurial mindset;
• A dynamic attitude and enthusiasm for working on client sites;
• Initiative, a hands-on mentality, and the ability to work independently.

In addition, you are:

• Available full-time (part-time hours can be discussed);
• In possession of a valid driving licence and willing to travel to client locations;
• Based in the Randstad region or the area between the Randstad and Apeldoorn;
• Fluent in both Dutch and English, written and spoken.
