What does a Financial Controller do at IMPROVEN?

As a Financial Controller, you are responsible for more than just the figures. You ensure that financial processes are accurate, provide insights and are continuously improved. You work on reports, analyses and month-end closings, but always look beyond the output. You also identify opportunities, contribute ideas for improvements and take the initiative to organise processes in a smarter and more efficient way. You liaise with various stakeholders within the organisation and ensure that financial information is not only available, but also understood and utilised. In doing so, you have a direct impact on the quality of decision-making. In this role, you’ll be given the space to grow, take on responsibility and actively contribute to optimisation and improvement initiatives.

Some of your duties

  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including KPI analyses
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual accounts for several private limited companies
  • Developing and improving financial dashboards and management information
  • Drawing up and monitoring budgets, forecasts and liquidity plans
  • Analysing revenue and margin trends within projects
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and advising management
  • Optimising and streamlining financial processes, such as invoicing and margin monitoring
  • Support with audits and financial closings
  • Contributing to internal projects, such as improving tooling and reporting (e.g. Power BI)

  • You have at least 3 years’ experience within finance or control
  • You have a HBO degree in finance or a related field
  • You have strong analytical skills and can effortlessly turn figures into insights
  • You work with precision, but always keep an eye on the bigger picture
  • You think proactively and identify opportunities for improvement
  • You take ownership and feel responsible for the outcome
  • You communicate clearly and interact easily with stakeholders
  • You’re a critical thinker, you’re not afraid to ask probing questions, and you focus on finding solutions
  • You work in a structured way and keep a clear overview, even under pressure
  • You speak fluently Dutch and English
