As our Finance Generalist, you'll become an important part of our Finance team, supporting the day-to-day financial operations that keep Lepaya running smoothly. This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with the team on operational accounting activities, while also helping us improve the way we work.

You'll be involved in a broad range of finance responsibilities, from Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to reconciliations, month-end closing, reporting, and financial administration. At the same time, you'll help identify opportunities to simplify processes and strengthen our financial controls as we continue to professionalise our finance function.

This role is ideal for someone with a solid accounting foundation who enjoys working accurately, collaborating with others, and wants to grow into a broader finance or controlling role over time.

Your first year achievements

  • Become a trusted member of the Finance team and make a visible impact on how our finance function operates.
  • Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable accurately and on time.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing activities together with the Finance team.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare invoices, credit notes, payment reminders, and employee expense reimbursements.
  • Help monitor outstanding payments and follow up on open invoices when needed.
  • Support audits by keeping financial documentation organised and up to date.
  • Work with colleagues across the business to answer finance-related questions and support daily operations.
  • Contribute ideas to improve finance processes and help the team work more efficiently.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or finance operations.
  • Experience working with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
  • Comfortable working with finance and business systems. You'll work with Exact, Elvy, Salesforce, ING Bank, and Google Drive as part of your day-to-day activities.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial administration.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a structured way of working.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for improving processes and creating efficiencies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English, preferably able to communicate well in Dutch.
