Interim Strategic Adviser on Energy Systems

On behalf of a leading organisation in the energy transition, I am currently seeking an Interim Strategic Adviser on Energy Systems to start immediately. In this role, you will support and strengthen the organisation from a broad energy systems perspective, drawing on your specific knowledge of and experience with the role of district heating within the future Dutch energy system.

Some of your duties

• Providing substantive support for the further positioning of district heating within the future energy system;
• Demonstrating the societal and systemic value of district heating, including in relation to grid congestion, electrification and total system costs;
• Translating national energy scenarios and policy developments into implications for NDW, regional heating companies and district heating network development;
• Assessing and challenging analyses by external advisers and stakeholders on energy system issues.

So you are a senior subject matter expert who is used to working at the intersection of energy policy, energy system analysis and strategic consultancy.

• National Energy System Plan (NPE);
• Netbeheer Nederland’s future scenarios;
• Energy system studies on the societal value of district heating;
