This vacancy is within Unit G.5 of Directorate G in Karlsruhe, Germany, for an FGIV - Laboratory Technical Officer - Scientific Research role under an Auxiliary Contract Staff contract.
Unit G.5 preserves and promotes expertise at European level in nuclear fuel safety, nuclear materials science and medical applications, making use of the JRC Open Access to Research Infrastructure programme. The Unit develops the TRANSURANUS modelling code, as well as innovative nuclear solutions for cancer treatment, medical isotope production and non-power applications, addressing emerging societal challenges.
