You & your job

As a Business Analyst within Customer Engagement, you play a central role in bridging business needs and technical solutions. You translate customer and business requirements into scalable digital solutions and support strategic decision-making across the organization.

You work closely with architects, engineers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between customer value, technical feasibility, and long-term strategy. You are analytical, structured, and able to navigate complex challenges with confidence and clarity.

  • In consultation within the team and cross-functional stakeholders you translate business requirements into high level analyses, designs and (big) data products that are in line with the chosen IT architecture.
  • You are the sparring partner for Solution Architects, Data Engineers, Product Owners and other stakeholders.
  • You collaborate, challenge and support the Product Owner in their decision making.
  • Together with the Product Owner, Solution Architect and Engineers within your squad you contribute to the long-term strategic direction.

Examples from practice

  • Facilitate cross-function workshops/streams to align Business, Legal, Design, Marketing and Tech on new digital initiatives to increase reachable base.
  • Build and analyse dashboards to get insights into customer data, identify opportunities for improvement and convince stakeholders on the proposed direction.
  • Be the link between Business and Tech for the implementation of a platform for managing consent and preference data of Rabobank customers.
  • Take ownership in designing and experimenting initiatives to improve the engagement of Rabobank customers in the app.

You & your talent

Customer focus, collaboration, attention to detail, innovation, self-development and open communication are indispensable for this position of Business Analyst. On top of that, it is important that you recognize yourself in the checklist below:

  • Bachelor/Master thinking level
  • You have at least 3-6 years of experience as a Business Analyst of which at least 3 years of experience working with Data, Backend and Frontend solutions
  • Working in a highly competitive technical environment and understand how software is built
  • Team player with helicopter view and can zoom in and zoom out
  • Ability to bring clarity and structure in complex (technical) situations
  • Good communicator and not afraid to challenge stakeholders
  • Capable of working in a multi-cultural team and environment
  • Business English is mandatory, Dutch speaking is required

Some additions you might have, which are a pre

  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Experience with OneTrust
  • Knowledge of the Banking Domain, financial products and business processes
