The JRC is offering an interesting position for a contract agent in the area of EU Health policies and specifically, the ongoing implementation of the EU regulatory framework on medical devices (MDR).

The position combines regulatory science with scientific and technical support for medical devices, and strategic health (bio)technologies. It offers the opportunity for laboratory work or collaboration with the JRC Nanobiotechnology Laboratory.

The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary, international team that provides policy support, conducts literature reviews and reports, and interacts with other Commission services, Member States and stakeholders. Laboratory work on medical devices and related (bio)technologies will be conducted or coordinated with the Nanobiotechnology Laboratory as needed.

The position contributes to EU policy initiatives aimed at fostering innovation and competitiveness of the EU health‑technology market, delivering scientific and technical guidance by linking policy support with research activities.
