Share your talents

As Category Planner, you will join our Supply Chain S&OE team at our Central Head Office on the Herengracht in Amsterdam in a role that is still taking shape. In the first phase, your main focus will be allocation: making sure products are available at the right place and the right time across our different lines of business, including Retail, Ecommerce, Wholesale, Travel, Master Franchise and B2B.

You will work in a dynamic environment where demand, stock positions and business priorities can shift quickly, and where clear decisions make a real difference. At the same time, you will help us further build the way of working for Category Planning, with automation through RELEX playing an important part in that journey.

As the role develops, your scope will gradually grow towards the 0–3 months forecasting horizon, translating demand signals and business developments into a reliable short-term forecast. You will create structure through analysis, bring clarity through communication and support better decision-making across the business. With your data-driven mindset, you will help us support turnover, optimise inventory levels and create a smoother customer journey.

In this role, you will:

  • Initially focus on allocation to optimise product availability and inventory levels across channels and lines of business. This will build understanding on planning to move to better forecasting later.
  • Monitor demand signals, over- and underperformance, and business developments to support reliable short-term planning decisions.
  • Create, maintain and improve analyses, overviews and allocation models in Excel, and contribute to further automation through RELEX to replace manual work.
  • Work closely with planners and other internal stakeholders to align priorities, weigh commercial interests and communicate decisions clearly. Like us, you know planning is never straightforward!
  • Identify bottlenecks, risks and improvement opportunities in planning processes, including end-of-life items and key market moments.
  • Take ownership of planning outcomes and gradually grow into a broader role in short-term forecasting within the 0–3 months horizon.

Bring all of you

We are looking for a junior supply chain professional who enjoys working with data and feels energised by a role with many moving parts. You bring relevant experience in planning, forecasting, allocation or supply chain within a complex business environment, and you are comfortable working in a role that is still evolving. You know how to work independently, keep calm when priorities shift and stay accurate under pressure. At the same time, you communicate clearly, balance different interests and are not afraid to make decisions and explain them well. If you enjoy bringing structure to complexity and improving the way work gets done, this could be a very good fit.

To be successful in this role, you:

  • Bring relevant experience in planning, forecasting, allocation or supply chain, preferably within a multi-channel or complex business environment.
  • Have strong Excel skills, including advanced analysis and preferably macros, and experience with AI tools is a plus.
  • Work in a highly data-driven way and are strong in analysis, checking details, creating clear overviews and sharing insights.
  • Are able to balance different and sometimes conflicting stakeholder interests, set clear boundaries and say no when needed.
  • Take ownership, work independently and switch quickly between topics while staying accurate, structured and resilient.
