The position

Within Offshore Energy, we work on projects that contribute to a more sustainable world. Safety, quality, health and environmental performance are essential to everything we do. As Business Unit Manager QHSE, you translate strategy into action and ensure that our standards are embedded across the business.

In this role, you lead a team of QHSE professionals, support projects throughout their lifecycle and strengthen our culture of continuous improvement. Working closely with project teams, business leaders and international stakeholders, you help ensure that our operations meet the highest industry standards while supporting successful project delivery.

Your impact

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and develop a team of QHSE professionals and create an environment where people can grow and succeed
  • Drive the implementation of QHSE policies, standards and certifications across the business
  • Support projects throughout tender, preparation, execution and close out to ensure strong QHSE performance
  • Initiate and lead improvement programmes that enhance safety, quality, environmental performance and business results

You will work closely with colleagues across projects, business units and international locations. The QHSE department plays a key role in connecting strategy with daily operations. This role reports to the Director QHSE, with a dotted line to BU Management.

About you

You are a people-focused leader who knows how to create impact in complex and international environments. You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and can connect people, projects and business objectives.

You also bring:

  • A higher professional or academic degree, preferably in Engineering, Safety/Risk Management, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in QHSE, operational excellence or a comparable discipline within renewables, marine, oil & gas or offshore construction industries
  • Experience in operational risk management of large or complex infrastructure projects onshore or offshore, or similar
  • Proven experience leading, inspiring and developing teams
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
  • Experience driving change and continuous improvement initiatives
